We had a sneak preview of summer weather this weekend, so I indulged in some badly-needed wardrobe updates which would be appropriate for both work &the season. (Summer work clothes 4 ladies can B tricky, but I've now got my style pretty well nailed--which saves time, $, & angst: No need 2 bother w/ unsuitable colors, fabrics, etc.) It feels good to be confident in my choices regarding some things that used 2 cause me angst, + lost time, $, & effort (Design Identity Crisis.) Thank God for technical fabrics, & Petites Departments :D I've also sorted out a pleasing & practical personal style at home (after living 4 so long under the sometimes cheesy/ugly taste of others, it can B fun & satisfying to put things U actually like in your near environment...Ahhh...The poetry of good design. For some reason such things R timeless...transcendent; marrying beauty w/quality & function--the manifestation of an elegant & well-executed concept.

Today's MGL Art Magick Painting of the Day (which I enjoy, as a visual-spatial person) is "Breton Women at a Pardon." My guess is that a couple of them have been squabbling, w/no end in sight--disrupting the community's function. It's sort of funny how everyone is formally dressed (as they always would have been back them), yet the women are sitting/in what looks like a field. Telling that two men in Black Hats are standing adjacent, in what looks like a One-Up, supervisory role of admonishment. When people can or will not be self-regulating--and act out, disrupting the community, *somebody* does probably need to have authority to call a time-out: To enforce common sense, at a minimum. Interesting to think what would happen if all the figures in the painting were women. Or 1 male, 1 female standing. Or 2 women standing, and all males sitting... ;)

I realized that the best of exchanges and support from our SENG-offshoot communities have, over the years, set a standard by which I now measure a good number of RL interactions. Working together, maybe we are like interlocking dorsal vertebrae, joined by a common spinal cord (Icon's MGL platform,) plus plenty of turbo-powered neurons and muscle, to create a strong yet flexible backbone.

Passing deep thoughts: 1) I have coined the phrase "Ethical Work-Around," to describe the ways in which human beings rationalize unethical choices. Specifically, I was thinking of the way that far too many people will screw others over and rationalize it by saying, "It's just *business*." (Anyone who's been on the receiving end of a manipulative and/or ruthless "Player" in these sort of transactions will get it.) Such a person rationalizes any unethical behavior they can get away with by saying, "Well it's just business." (Another version of "Don't hate the player, hate the game." 2) Having to take certain stands in the course of my own life, I now wonder why Jesus waited until roughly the age of 33 to make his Final Stand. Maybe, like other great spiritual teachers, he had to be old enough to first make a conscious *choice* to follow where God/circumstances would lead... Some people assume that he was fully invested with spiritual "power" etc. even as a child.

For the moment Im reveling in having an apt. to myself. Of course, I've signed leases by myself before--but always had to either share the space, or suffer someone else's taste in decor & interior appointments. (As well as suffer others' opinions of my activities.) In private space, one need only please one's self (within legal/ethical reason) & God (IMHO.) The peace, freedom, & opportunities for positive stimulation in my cùrrent circumstances are so enjoyable that my neurons feel super-energized: If I weren't well over 35, I might be giggling to myself, or dancing. Maybe it's just hormones, but I've felt like dancing for half the day...(Quel drag to have to squelch those wonderful excitabilities all day, in order to present appropriately in an office context.) :P The unfortunate fact is that many people resent my need to experience & express intense joy, creativity, energy, love, etc. in transformational quality/quantity. Yet will I feed the fire ;D

Excellent journalling. And I think you've raised a good point about the zero accountability of "it's just business". Just thought you should know someone reads it.
